RJ SAYS: US Grand Prix of Motocross, Glen Helen, 1990

The US Grand Prix of Motocross. Just the name of it makes me think 'big time'.

For years, the US round of the World Motocross Championships for 500's was held at Carlsbad Raceway. I won there in 1986 at the USGP.

There was a few years where we (the USA) didn't have a Grand Prix. But guess who stepped up and made them happen? A lot of people, but one of the most influential, and the promoter of the 1990 500 Grand Prix was 5 - time World Motocrosss Champion Roger De Coster.

Here's you'll see the video, and then below, you'll see my personal commentary.

MX Adventures - A1 Supercross 2010

The first Supercross of 2010 was spectacular, to say the least. Many of you know the first race starts with a few pre kick off parties, media events, and a big press conference the Thursday before the race.

It's kinda' like a big adventure for all of us at Supercross.com as we get set to embark on this remarkable 17 race journey across the country for the 2010 AMA / FIM Supercross Series!

Five Things to Look for at the Los Angeles Supercross

Feld Motorsports AMA Monster Energy Supercross, an FIM world championship, will be holding an event at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles for the first time on Saturday night. The first two rounds have been nothing less than exciting while showcasing the world?s most talented Supercross riders. Here are a few things to look for at Saturday?s Supercross:

1. Same faces - trading places

The first round of the Supercross class saw Villopoto, Stewart, Canard, Dungey and Reed in the top five. The same five riders were the top five at last week?s event in Phoenix. Ivan Tedesco has made an appearance up there, but has faded back as the race progresses. It is a pretty safe bet that we will see the same faces on the box again, but they may be swapped around - the start seems to be the key. The best lap times in Phoenix for the top 5 riders are less than a second apart. Despite the fact that there are fifteen other guys charging out of the gate in the main event, there will not be anyone else on top of the podium.
